~ Writing the books that I want to read ~ |

I was about to publish my site when I realized there wasn't any content on here yet!
I guess I should introduce myself. Hi! My name is Adrienne Mione and up until a few months ago, I thought my career goal was to finish my masters and become an animator at whatever company would hire me. Why did I switch to writing? I am two and a half years into a two years masters program and the stress was getting intense. I ended up getting depressed and reading through most of April and the first two weeks of may. I have kindle unlimited so I went through series after series (among which I think the Air Awakens series were my favorites <3). After reading for literally hundreds of hours I started running out of things to read. don't get me wrong, I know there are good books out there, but I'm broke, so I only have access to the ones in kindle unlimited at the moment. With few of the books catching my fancy, (and after a few false starts where the writing was too badly edited to get through) I decided I would pass my time by writing the book I was looking for. the book: Something with dragons and lots of magic, a birth secret, fancy prophecies, an overpowered protagonist... Okay, the book was pretty bad. It's sitting in my drafts folder waiting for an overhaul. But I did learn something new about myself: I love writing! After writing 117k words in three weeks I realized that I was much happier writing that silly story than I have been in the last few years as I tried (and failed) to start an art business. So, I started working on a new draft, this one inspired by a fairy tail and sprinkled with a little bit of magic. The Mermaid with Two Tails is still in its early stages but I'm chipping away at it day by day. I hope to share it with you all by the end of the year. |

Adrienne Mione likes to call herself a creative generalist, which is a fancy way of saying she’s indecisively eclectic. Growing up in a highly creative family, she has picked up many hobbies over the years, from knitting to chainmail! When she’s not writing you can often find her singing, drawing or playing an instrument (an occasion that may require earplugs).
